BAROUCHE BANQUET MENU

Each course of your wedding breakfast will be served as a banquet to the table on platters, allowing your guests to help themselves to the dishes you have chosen.  

Please choose one Starter, three Main Courses (including a vegetarian dish) and one Dessert. 

STARTERS 

West Country platter

Cornish Brie, Quickes Vintage Cheddar, Devon glazed ham, pork pie with cider chutney, pickled baby vegetables, carrot hazelnut and chestnut terrine, asparagus, rapeseed oil and malthouse bread 

Tapas

Spiced king prawn fritters, beef patties, chorizo, saffron sticky rice, salt and pepper squid, falafel, marinated artichokes, Nocellara olives, tomato with red onion and herb salsa, green olive tapenade and focaccia bread

Seafood platter

Salmon and crayfish rillette with pickled cucumbers, smoked salmon, mussels with a cider cream sauce, sea trout and chive fishcakes, salt and pepper squid, Tourangelle salad, lemon and dill tartare, samphire and sourdough

Antipasti

Sage, mustard and cider salami, fennel salami, lonza, Somerset beef bresaola, smoked chicken, Sharpham Rustic cheese, Laverstoke bocconcini with pesto, asparagus, marinated artichoke hearts, pickled baby vegetables, Nocellara olives and ciabatta

 

MAIN COURSES

Sirloin of Devon beef with sautéed new potatoes, cherry vine tomatoes and salsa verde

Slow roasted shoulder of lamb on lemon couscous with Moroccan spice and pomegranate salad

Whole lemon roasted chicken stuffed with herb tabbouleh, served with a peppadew and rocket salad and cucumber tzatziki 

Slow cooked belly of pork with crackling, Colcannon mash and cider cream sauce

Devon rib of beef with roasted potatoes, carrots and horseradish

Fillet of sea trout with buttered Jersey Royals and sauce vierge

Sweet potato gnocchi with wild mushrooms, Cornish Gouda cheese and sage butter (v)

Roasted chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms, chestnut and sage with a butter sauce and roasted new potatoes

Spelt risotto, roasted cauliflower, cep mushrooms with hazelnuts and salsa verde (vn)  

Asparagus,broad bean and pea risotto with truffle and Montgomery Cheddar shavings (v)

Moroccan vegetable tagine with almonds and sweet potato, coriander couscous and flatbread (vn)

 

All served with either a selection of seasonal vegetables or a herb leaf salad

Baked white chocolate cheesecake, dark chocolate mousse and rum caramel syrup

Caramelised apple sponge pudding, apple crumble and crème anglaise 

Tiramisu, clotted cream ice cream and warm espresso

Lemon meringue pie, citrus cheesecake and basil gin infusion

Elderflower and raspberry jelly, summer fruit pudding and clotted cream

Blackberry delice, blackcurrant meringue roulade and warm cassis syrup 

English afternoon tea cake stand: scones served with clotted cream and strawberry jam,pistachio and apple cake, chocolate choux bun and raspberry pavlova
