Our Other Venues

Our Venues

We have two other stunning venues in addition to Rockbeare Manor:

Priston Mill

Priston Mill was a family run farming business for many years, as well as being a local visitor attraction with tours of the historic Watermill. The Watermill and Tythe Barn were originally part of an agricultural tenancy from the Duchy of Cornwall, held by the Hopwood family, but it was in 1992 when Peter and Christine Hopwood, alongside Andrew Carveth began the transition from farming business to an events and wedding venues business, which would go on to host many special occasions over the years.

In 2006 the catering operation was brought in-house when Andrew Carveth formed PM Hospitality Ltd, specifically to manage the catering at Priston Mill. From the outset the focus was on delivering a high standard of service using quality local ingredients for our clients and since then, the team at Priston Mill have continued to earn an excellent reputation in Bath and surrounding areas.

Coombe Lodge

Coombe Lodge in Blagdon, North East Somerset, was commissioned by the Will's family. Historically one of Bristol's leading families, they ran the W.D. and H.O. Will's tobacco company in the city, the first UK company to mass-produce cigarettes and one of the founding companies of imperial tobacco. Built over four years, from 1928 - 1932, Coombe Lodge became their family home for over 30 years. Today's country manor house in Blagdon is built on the foundations of an older property dating back to 1759. Constructed from distinctive Bath stone, with a Cotswold stone roof, Coombe Lodge was designed as an E-shaped Jacobean house by the distinguished architect Sir George Oatley.

The house later became a further education staff college, before being given a new lease of life in 2009 when it was taken over by Andrew Carveth of PM Hospitality Ltd and sensitively transformed into the wonderful, contemporary venue you see today. Stylish, but relaxed, Coombe Lodge still retains the elegance of its past, including the distinctive limed oak panelling found on the ground floor and staircase. It is a leading wedding venue in Bristol and Somerset.
